Conference on green buildings looks at new solutions

A conference focusing on green and healthy buildings kicked off on Friday in Gaobeidian, Baoding, Hebei province, attracting experts from more than 50 countries and regions who gathered to discuss the industry's development.

Themed "Strengthening International Cooperation for Green Transformation: Promoting the Development of Green and Low-Carbon Buildings", the 2024 China Gaobeidian International Green and Healthy Building Conference will host a dozen industry-themed sessions focusing on international trends and experience sharing, technical systems and practices, green building materials and quality housing.

More than 150 top experts, professors, renowned academicians and scholars from home and abroad will engage in in-depth discussions and exchanges, according to the government of Baoding, one of the marquee hosts of the conference.

The experts will also propose constructive and forward-looking solutions for multiple issues, including improving people's living environments, global climate governance, energy conservation and emissions and carbon reductions.

During the conference, an expo on green doors and windows will also be held.

The expo has an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters with more than 1,000 companies participating in exhibition and sales activities, organizers said.

The exhibition will involve green healthy buildings and furniture and will showcase new products, technologies, materials and applications in the upstream and downstream sectors of green and healthy building field.
