Harrowing experiences of Chinese students entering US fuel calls to stem exchange disruptions

Many Chinese students and tech professionals are increasingly expressing their alarm via social media about being harassed in what they described as a "small dark room" at the secondary inspection areas of US immigration and border authorities.

The trend has sparked heightened concerns among international students about traveling to the United States, in turn fueling calls for the US to halt the revocation of legally obtained visas and stemming the disruption to people-to-people exchanges.
