China's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Zheng Zeguang, got a warm welcome on his first official visit to Northern Ireland this week, where he hoped to boost cultural exchanges and economic cooperation.
He visited two cities – Belfast and Derry/Londonderry – and two universities, Ulster and Queen's University Belfast.
Zheng also attended a new energy forum, met more than 100 representatives of local government, business and commerce, culture, and education at China's consulate-general in Belfast, and attended several other functions.
