Hong Kong jewelry designer and visual artist Wallace Chan said, "I'm a dreamer, always dreaming. I dream to live, and live to dream. Each creation is a dream come true."

Parallel Dreams, a stunning exhibition to show Chan's jewelry works in Shanghai, "encapsulates my being", he says.

Open until Friday at Christie's art space in the historic Ampire Building, the exhibition shows Chan's creative ideas, aesthetic pursuits and technical innovations to render his works physical brilliance and spiritual depth.

Chan works with a variety of minerals to tell vivid stories of the universe, as microcosmic as the world of insects and as vast as that of the sea.
