After rejoining the Paris Agreement, the Biden administration should now commit to an ambitious and achievable target of 2030 Nationally Determined Contribution to reduce the US' greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50 percent by 2030.
Rachel Fakhry, a policy analyst with the Natural Resources Defense Council, said the Biden administration and Congress have all the tools necessary to promote and realize this target in this decade and inspire stronger global action.
The US can no longer afford any teetering on the climate crisis, she said.
