Leishenshan Hospital, with an area of 79,900 square meters and a capacity of 1,600 beds, was built only in about 10 days and officially began treating infected patients on Feb 8.
The hospital was constructed by State-owned China State Construction. Nearly 6,000 workers and over a thousand pieces of large machinery, equipment and vehicles were dispatched to fulfill the job.
The construction of Leishenshan Hospital again demonstrates "Chinese speed", which wouldn't be possible without the endeavors and persistence of thousands of workers, who devote themselves to the fight against the epidemic.
