Chinese stocks plummeted on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index plunging 2 percent to close at 2,768.02 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 2.5 percent, dropping to 8780.56 points.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, dropped 2.06 percent on Tuesday, at 1,510.09 points.
